As more than 80 % of all aviation accidents are based on human failure crew resource management training has been mandatory for decades in commercial aviation. Also, for commercial one-pilot operation single pilot resource management (SRM) is mandatory.
The goals of these trainings are to sensitize all participants to the involved dangers, enhance crew cooperation und to prevent dangerous situations. This is why civil aviation is now considered to be very safe.
Currently the legislator doesn’t see the necessity to make SRM training compulsory for private pilots. Why not? Unfortunately, the accident reports of the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation speak for themselves.
During the private pilot training priority is given to manual flying skills. Only little attention is given to the role of human factors.This is where our training starts. With the help of the concepts of commercial aviation we offer with our SRM training “human factors” specially designed for private pilots. The aim is to promote safety and efficiency.
In our seminars we talk about the non-technical items of aviation. How can I use all available resources and which resources are there for private pilots at all?
We deal with human performance and limitations, decision making, risk awareness, communication, stress management and the startle effect. It’s a mental training to sharpen our “airmanship”.
The seminar is suitable for all private pilots (to be), be it glider pilots, motor pilots or ultralight pilots.
At the end of our approximately 6-hours long seminars which are presented in the form of lectures, discussions, group works, case studies etc. every participant receives a confirmation of participation.
